LOL ... thanks. I take it that "flooded" just means "wet cell"?

The best thing to do would be to recontact the dealer and have them explain what was written down.

Holler Honda. Johnnie Street (she's a she, btw) was the service writer and was awesome.

The IMA light came on this weekend. For those keeping score, the Honda replacement (refurbished) battery lasted almost exactly 18 months. Warranty replacements are one thing, but I can't imagine why someone would pay full freight for a Honda battery at this point.

Ouch. That's terrible. Almost seems like they're getting worse!

Wow.
Maybe I don't want Honda to give my a free under-warranty battery after all. On the other hand: Don't they usually come with 3 year warranties?

Mine was replaced last year under warranty. I hope it doesn't do this.

If you read upthread, they replaced mine out of warranty for about $300 (10% of the retail price of the replacement). I assume that my refurbished battery was under a one year warranty.

Would probably be worth clarifying with them, but I'll assume that a "Goodwill repair" carries no warranty.

If you were to buy a brand new Honda battery, it would carry a 3 year, 36k mile warranty.... and cost $3000.
