Actually it's already been a couple of months....
Something more serious? What's more serious than a dead hybrid battery?

I've been delaying buying a battery only because I'm burning oil and have a loss of power in the engine. I want to make sure I can fix the gas engine before I invest into a battery. I plan on replacing the valve seals on my own to see if that'll fix it, but I need to get warm outside first.

Yours isn't dead, it's crippled. P1433 is "below 10% of original 6.5Ah capacity" or in other words, weak but balanced.

Your battery is extremely susceptible to becoming unbalanced because the difference between full and empty is such a small amount of power.

At some point it will turn into a P1449 overheat and shut down the entire IMA system.

What's worse than a dead battery? How about no 12V charging?

My pack was rebuilt in Mar. '10 by Hybrid Battery Repair. I get a few recals on hard usage like in hilly areas but aside from that seems to be performing normally. I grid charge it regularly (2-3x /week). Just adding to the databank.

Did you get your grid charger from HBR? Did you install it yourself?
