Default need opinion for 2005 insight purchase

Hey Everyone,

I know these questions are asked all the time, but this is a big decision for me and i want to make the right one

I found a 2005 insight very well maintained rust proofed & sound proofed with 62 original kilometers clean title ... no accidents for 9k

it has seen some winters, but in great shape

less then one inch minor dent on driver door
a little bit of wear on driver seat

metalic blue colour with beige interior

ima battery is out of warrenty in jan 2012

tranny/engine is mint; struts all around are mint

interior is clean with exception of a bit of wear on driver seat

fresh r92, and brakes just done, it pertty much a buy & driver ... which is what i wanted

is mima avaliable in a 2005??

please let me know your thoughts

if i don't get this, i want to convert my 98 honda 5 speed to an electric car, this is my next option

so the budget is to go to this insight or go ev with my honda civic si 98

i thought about converting my existing 2000 honda insight to ev as per my sig, but with parts avaliablity and custimizing the insights brake, spring system isn't as easy to do as a honda civic suspension...

thanks
steveo

I don't understand what the question is honestly. It sounds like a great car for 9k.

I'm basically undecided if i should build the electric car i've always wanted for Under 9k for sure or

get the insight in great shape that i originally wanted..

my current insight is in good working order; however it does need some work to bring it to the condition that i would like it in... like showroom look

i have to let the seller know asap...

i would also be dealing with a car that i would need to hold onto untill its sold (my 2000 honda insight in my sig)

with winter comming it must be sold asap!

I'm with Eli, you're asking us to decide FOR you.

Let's break it down:
I found a 2005 insight very well maintained rust proofed & sound proofed with 62 original kilometers clean title ... no accidents for 9k Great price IF what you say is correct

it has seen some winters, but in great shape

less then one inch minor dent on driver door
a little bit of wear on driver seat you decide if that matters

metalic blue colour with beige interior You decide if that matters, personal choice

ima battery is out of warrenty in jan 2012 OK

tranny/engine is mint; struts all around are mint OK, that's nice

interior is clean with exception of a bit of wear on driver seat That's fine too but you've already said several times about the condition of this car

fresh r92 Tires are cheap so this doesn't really matter, and brakes just done Brakes are very inexpensive and easy to replace so irrelevant , it pertty much a buy & driver ... which is what i wanted You already said all of tbis when you mentioned the condition

is mima avaliable in a 2005?? Mima doesn't care what year the car is

please let me know your thoughts You found an excellent car at a very fair price but you are asking us to decide FOR YOU what you should do, you should do what YOU want to do, that is my opinion. Buy it if you want or don't and do what you will. Like everything there are pluses and minuses with each decision and those are only for you to decide.

if i don't get this, i want to convert my 98 honda 5 speed to an electric car, this is my next option

so the budget is to go to this insight or go ev with my honda civic si 98

i thought about converting my existing 2000 honda insight to ev as per my sig, but with parts avaliablity and custimizing the insights brake, spring system isn't as easy to do as a honda civic suspension...

Safe assumption its this car?

2005 Honda Insight Gas-Electric Hybrid - 4 l/100 km | 56 mpg! - Ottawa Cars For Sale - Kijiji Ottawa Canada.

There's only 396 insights in Canada, and only 5 of them are MY2005.

Also, I'm still interested in your Citrus insight, steveo.

Those trade shows I was talking about for my company are coming up in late October. After they're over, I might (cross your fingers and toes!) have the money.

Wow, so was 2005 the last year they were sold in Canada? No 2006's?

Well worth the money if it's been rustproofed. Be sure and get documentation! I say... Buy it...
