Default OEM Bridgestone Potenza RE92 or Michelin Energy Saver

So the Insight I just got has worn out OEM Bridgestones on them and
I have narrowed it down to 2 tires and the Michelin Energy Savers look promising. Anybody here on the forums have experience with these on their Insights? I know the tire is .1 in diameter smaller so it revolves one more time in a mile then the OEM RE92 do but this is a very negligible difference and won't cause to much offset to the stock MPG comp and spedo since it;s basically like driving on some worn out OEM tires I know plenty of people here have tried different tires so I am hoping someone here has or is trying these right now and can give me some "Insight" on them.
I like the higher tire pressure & slightly higher load rating of the Energy Savers so I may pay the slight extra price and try them out. I so some spirited driving and like to take the turns so this tire may offer me better traction from just comparing the ratings. But anybody have any opinions or experience on this tire choice?

Really Mark?
Is it just because of better performance and less road noise and plusher ride?
I guess I will be blasting my music more! I found some speaker wires under the rear carpet, insight did not come with rear speakers right?

Default Some did, some didn't

As I understand it, the rear speakers were a factory option. However, mine only came with the two door speakers. The really cool thing is they all had the rear speaker wires in place, all you have to do is mount speakers back there and plug them in. I now have four Polk Audio dxi650 speakers and a Blaupunkt system, and it sounds really great, even over the road noise from my Bridgestone RE92s : ).

I think the cars came with rear speakers starting in.. '04?

But yes, your mentality is spot on IMO. This car is all about MPG, so why cripple it? If you want a luxury ride, you should probably be driving a Lexus.

Really would be nice if there was a good alternative to the RE92's. I may be willing to take a ~2% fuel economy hit if the tires were really just that much better, but not 6-10%. Would REALLY be nice to find some tires that offer a +2% increase in fuel economy instead. We can keep dreaming, though the Energy Savers are a step in the right direction.. it's nice to see manufacturers going in this direction. It's sad that the RE92 did this 11 years ago, and wasn't even advertised or anything. Just lumped into a series of tires even though it's a completely different tire than the larger sized RE92s......

We have no choice in the UK, the RE92's are not 'E' marked, so not sold in the UK.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Sad situation. As I understand it, if you can manage to import them, you can drive on them?

Not sure what the insurance would say if we were involved in an accident on them though, even though they were OEM fitment on the car.

The Honda dealers says they can get them, shown here, but over £500 each!!!!! http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/ho...block_03=19741
