Default Canoe On The Insight Roof????

Has anybody found a satisfactory method of carrying stuff on the roof of the Insight?

I was thinking of some inflatable roof pads - something like this -
Amazon Amazon
to carry a conoe on the roof, so nothing heavy.

Link broken.

I've never carried anything on mine but with some decent foam padding and bungee cords through the doors/ boot a canoe should not be a problem imho. You can get roofracks with suckers as well.

I don't know how far or fast you will be driving. But over the summer i had my 15 foot canoe on my HCH and it was a real pain to go over 55mph. don't ask it to do 65. Even down a hill i normally can get to 65-70 just coasting (in gear with a light touch on the throttle so i don't regen) I maxed out at maybe 59mph. I plan on making a hitch for a insight and building a light trailer for the canoe.
Unless you have the canoe opening sealed up i think the shape of the insight would force air into the canoe making it a great parachute . But if you do try it i'd love to find out how it works out.
