Default IMA Battery Reconditioning in So Cal

Has anyone had any experience with Victor Rocha and his shop in Rowland Heights in the southern California. He has been reconditioning IMA batteries for HCH's and Insights. He seems knowledgeable and his prices seem reasonablle. I'm thinking of remving my battery and dropping it off next week, but I thought any feedback would be helpful, thanks, Jeff

At least he now knows how many cells are in the battery. Originally, he thought there were 144 cells.

Three days is not enough time to properly recondition a battery.

He reconditions the pack to 85-87% of the original capacity.
You are better off geting a "BetterBattery" with more capacity than the original and new cells.

His battery refurbishing advertisement was so far off base that I actually felt compelled to send him an email several months ago correcting all of his misinformation. His excuse was that he didn't see very many Insights, which was fair enough.

If you do go with his services, please let us know how it works out for you at least. I'm skeptical, personally.

How much does he charge? And is there a warranty?

He charges $300 plus about $50 for every stick he feels needs to be replaced.

Given that the 2003-2005 Civic battery that he so prominently shows is identical to an Insight battery, and he supposedly is very familiar with it, I think you're being overly generous.
