Congrats on the new car! My personal best is 80mpg over 700 miles @ 50mph, but I have been averaging 65mpg for the past few months with my normal, though slower driving. I have some jerkiness right at the point of falling out of Lean Burn that I have assumed is the EGR plate and I am missing the underbody panels. My average is now dropping with colder weather. So I have some work to do, but who cares? Even 55mpg is pretty wonderful. My Lifetime gauge has gone from 53.8 to 55.4 in the year I have owned it. I personally like keeping the Lifetime gauge original and BTW, my wife loves the car. We just travelled 3700 miles averaging 68mpg, mostly driving 65mph.

Hi Darrell and welcome.
I live in Zionsville (NW Indianapolis) and drive to Kokomo at least 3 times per week. I average 70mpg for the last 15000 miles since I bought it in March and expect the mileage to drop this winter, especially when the snow tires are mounted. Your MPG's sound normal for that kind of terrain, that's about what I got on a weekend joy drive to Madison IN using only back-roads.
Insight ones are rare everywhere, especially in IN, I know a former co-worker that has a 2000 silver, and seen others on rare occasion.
Look me up on Fuelly.com I'm HEY-OPEC 2000 silver Insight.

The wife and I went for a ride today,, very windy here, mostly rolling hills and all 2 lane state roads. Now my average is up to 65.7 with over 200 miles into this tank of gas.
I am starting to get the hang and lovin it!!!!

65.7mpg is good. I will never see that unless I do long highway commutes frequently.
