Any used car will usually need something. You have to test drive the car and see how it goes. The trans in mine needs to be replaced due to a down shift grind on one gear but I plan on driving it as is for another 50,000 or so and change that plus the clutch out, lol. I'm interested to see how long this transmission will last when double clutching to avoid the grind.

It should probably last nearly indefinitely.

The original transmission in #2 started grinding at 190,000 miles. The previous owner drove it that way for another 250,000 miles before I bought it and replaced it, and I doubt he double clutched.

Keep in mind that the first gen insight was produced in very low numbers. They tend to sell very quickly. If you really like them you need to be ready to jump on the right one when you find it. The dealer 2 miles from me got one with over 200k miles and it was gone in less than 24 hours. The one I got hit autotrader about 11 am and I was at the dealer by 1:30, and drove it home by 5 pm.
