That is going to go perfect with the rear window MPG readout if it ever comes about.

Yeah, I know. That would work. I would rather have an LED display, with the value calculated from the fuel injector pulse width though.

My opinion is that ragging on Prius owners is pretty lame. I suppose its less dangerous that attacking those who really deserve it, SUV owners. The Prius is a pretty amazing piece of engineering that should be encouraged for those who need a car bigger than an Insight.
I rented a 2011 Prius a couple of weeks ago. I drove 120 miles, about half in stop-and-go urban driving and half at 55 mph highway speeds. The highway drive included 2 long ascents and descents of about 700 feet plus several smaller rolling hills. I drove in ECO mode without running the A/C. I managed 64 mpg in a car capable of carrying a lot more people and load than our Insights. That's less than 10 mpg less than I would have managed in my much smaller, much lighter Insight.

I actually fully agree with this. The fact that the Prius can get 50-55mpg all day long, traveling at regular fast highway speeds with 4 passengers AND the dog is quite impressive to be honest.
But the sticker is still funny.
