$700 for 2005 IMA battery and 47K on it a good deal?

I found a guy selling his IMA batteries for $700 The battery was pulled out of a wrecked 2005. I won't get to inspect the batteries before purchase. Even if I can, I wouldn't know how to test the batteries. Is this a good price? What are used IMA batteries going for now? Any questions I should ask? It was in a frontal collision so according to the guy, the battery is still in decent shape. My 2000 battery is deteriorating so was thinking of replacing it with this. Thanks

There's really no way to tell. Being from a wrecked car is a good sign; it implies that the battery was operating properly prior to the accident. The mileage and year it's from have no bearing on the condition of the pack in and of themselves.

Be aware that you must grid charge it prior to being put into use if it has sat unused for more than a couple of weeks.
