Default New drive axles

If I was to order a new drive axle for the insight would it be identical to the one that came from the factory or is it a newer design? The reason im asking is because when i was at the honda dealer they had a picture of a drive axle on the counter. It had a larger diameter int he middle and taper off to the ends while appearing to be hollow. That got me thinking that they might have these types of axles if you order them new. Has anybody ordered a new drive axle in the last 2 years and was there a difference?

I've seen that 'advertisement' and that's a generic picture I believe. I would suspect if you purchased new axles from the dealer they would be identical to what we already have (of course I could be wrong, who knows).

Buy some and let us know
