Default For those lacking perspective on fuel prices...

Compare my fuelly: GAS MIZR (Honda Insight) | Fuelly
to Eli's Insight #1: Insight #1 (Honda Insight) | Fuelly

We've driven about the same distance (give or take 1000mi) at about the same average economy (he's got MIMA, but I have a much longer commute so winter doesn't destroy my economy quite as bad as it does his).

Over that distance, my fuel cost 144% of what Eli's cost.

The only major difference between us, is that he's in Santa Fe, NM, and I'm in Oshawa, ON.

Then remember that Europeans are paying about that premium again over Canadian prices, if not more.

Today, a gallon of the lowest-grade gasoline in Sweden, 95 RON (approximately equivalent to 90 AKI in North America), costs $7.67 at today's exchange rate. Regular gasoline in Honolulu today costs $3.86, one of the highest costs in the U.S. So I really appreciate my Insight's fuel efficiency

I'm flattered you use same plate as I have used since 2000 on my Insights (got rid of first gas mizr 2000 MT and reused plates on my 2001 CVT)

I actually run the CAR DU plate that was purchased for my father's business of the same name, but I have possession of the Ontario GAS MIZR plate. I can't use it because in Ontario, license plates cannot be transferred from one individual to another (except in some very specific circumstances). Consequently, the GAS MIZR plate is still registered to the past owner 2 owners ago. The plate has stayed with the car.

Thought about sticking it on my race car for comedic value, since I can't put it on a road-faring vehicle. :P
