It's looking like I will be getting a new job starting next week. Since it will be at practically the opposite end of the county from where my wife works, we will have to drive separately. I got to thinking that it would be nice to replace our '99 Saturn SL2 with a CVT Insight (she can drive a stick but would rather not.) I checked Ebay and there are exactly 0 for sale. I guess I may have to start digging deeper. If anyone here has one or knows of one and is not farther away from IN than a weekend trip to go get it, let me know. Condition is not terribly important as long as it's safe and has plenty of life left in it.

There seems to be a steady supply in the Chicago area. I got mine in Oct, $7750, 19K miles. Check on www.Oodle.com, best auto search site I have seen. Also autotrader and cars.com.

Autotempest.com will simultaneously search several sites, including Craig's List. Cargurus.com will make comparisons and at least try to rate the pricing wrt other similar models.
eBay is a terrible place to buy cars anyway... usually overpriced, in my experience. You can find better deals on Craigslist.
With the Insight at least, traveling is the name of the game.

I second the motion on Oodle.com. That's how I found mine. Entered what I was looking for then just waited for the email from them when one became available. Took a while, but it worked out . Hope you get the job.
