Didn't you recently acquire a set while in Hawaii? What are you waiting on? A blowout?
My Insight is in Uppsala, Sweden, on jack stands in my carport, so a blowout is unlikely I'm waiting to replace my tires until I return to Uppsala from Honolulu with my new tires in early April.

Well, since I hadn't heard anything from Costco.com for about 6 business days and it hasn't even said shipped yet, I called and cancelled my order with them. I called tirebuyer.com and they said they had 10 tires remaining (6 in savannah and 4 in another place). I ordered 4 from them and hopefully I'll have them within the week.
I got a tracking number and a tenitive delivery date of Thur Jan 18 for the RE92's from Tirebuyer. Looking good so far..... Somebody better buy those last few tires before they are gone. $405.00 total with tax and free shipping. I dont think its a bad price either.
I'm waiting to see if I get this 2002 with four new tires. If I do, I likely won't buy a spare set. If not.... All your RE92s are belong to me!!! (if there are any left) lol

I just got my tires from TireBuyer.com. Holy cow that was quick. I ordered them on Monday the 16th around 3pm and got them today the 18th around noon. That is quick service no matter how you slice it. For those of you wondering what the date code is, it's JCD4511, which I understand to be the 45th week of 2011. That's not that old in my book.
When I called TireBuyer on Monday they had 6 tires after I purchased my 4, for whoever is lucky enough to snag them it is a good deal at $90 a tire.

The three I ordered from Tirebuyer were supposed to arrive this past Monday. However, FedEx put them on the wrong truck and they found their way to North Carolina. (I'm in Iowa.)
Anyway, they should arrive here tomorrow, I believe. Glad to know that the date code is pretty recent. The two I found in Florida arrived today. They had a date code showing the 46th week of 2011. Quite pleased with that. Still, like you, I'm pleased that the tires seem to be no longer on backorder.
