Gas Door Won't Stay Closed
New to forum. Bought a 89,000 mile blue 2001 Insight yesterday.
The gas cap door won't stay closed. The lever in the interior is all the way down and the little peg in the gas cap area appears to return all the way out. The calbe operates easily There is a little wear on the door catch, but not much. It just barely engages when you close it and if you hit a bump or close the driver's door hard the gas door releases and opens. Is there a cable adjustment somewhere? I might bend a little piece of aluminum around the door catch to give it more meat to grab on to or something.
Any other ideas out there?
I love my Insight.
