I bought the car on November 29, 2011 so those miles are not my own.
Didn't reset the Lifetime MPG, I think that it was 46 point something when I got it.
If I release the brake and close the door, the mileage might be even higher, eh?
The CarFax shows that the majority of servicing was performed at Fletcher Honda in Bentonville, Arkansas in intervals of 2, 3 or 4 months from 2002 to 2009. I didn't see any major work listed, just the basics.
I replaced the exhaust flex joint gasket, or more precisely, ordered the parts from Majestic Honda and then had a shop perform the work. I prefer to do my own work but don't like working in the cold, so... Anyhow, Midas charged me $35 for the labor which I considered more than fair. When the manager asked if it really had over 500,000 miles, everyone in the waiting room went over to the window to look at it.
The only other work I've done is to clean the EGR plate (installed new gasket) during a warm day, and replaced the worn pads on the clutch and brake pedals.
Very impressive though. I'm pretty sure #2 has at least another 250,000 miles in her.

Wow! Is this the long distance champion so far?
Your photo show the lifetime mileage to be 49.8. Since your Insight has been driven so far and you've owned it for only a couple of months, the lifetime mileage won't have changed since you bought it. In fact, even if you're a hypermiler, your lifetime mileage will be stuck below 50 for quite some time.

Congratulations on your purchase!
I rather thought that the lifetime mileage displayed should change very little if it represented a very great distance; however, I distinctly remember it showing 46.(mumble) when I got the car. Therefore, it must have been reset just before I bought it.
Well done. Wonder what will happen to the display at 999,999 miles not enough room on display for another digit so prob roll over back to zero.
So that's to the moon and back at 50mpg. Around 10,000 gallons for the round trip how much did the Apollo rocket use for the same trip?
Bonus game?
Had a college buddy (way back when) whose game was Asteroids. He went to the various arcades in town setting the high score, trying to get as close to the displayed limit (either 99999 or 999999) as he could. Ah, the aspirations of youth.
It may not have been reset.. if you were just on the edge of a change anyway. We've gotten Insight #2 from 48.8mpg to 49.1mpg over about 9,000 miles.. lol.
Oh, I guess it probably was if it read 46.something and is already up to 49.
