hey there,
my first 65 plus mpg day in city driving with the cvt. 84 degrees today, non-ethanol gas, and added a fuel treatment the autozone guy talked me into (silly, i know).

I can't complain - I only paid $7750 in October and it only had 19k miles. I couldn't touch a low mileage Prius or second gen insight for anywhere close to that.

Man, so there is a good 50mpg different between the cvt and stick shift first gen Insight?
Not really. i'd say it's more like a 15-20% difference (depending on the amount of lean burn). On the same trips I would get around 78-82mpg round trip with the CVT, with the MT I get around 85-92mpg. But I haven't really had the opportunity to really run in the temps i was running the CVT at. So i think 15-20% is about right.
