I am in the market for new or refurbished batteries for a 2000 Insight and am weighing my options.
I am considering batteries from "Bumblebee Batteries" as well as "Adoptapart".
There seems to be a decent amount of forum activity regarding Bumblebee but very little about Adoptapart. I believe the vendor is under the name "Freidawg" here in InsightCentral. Adopt A Part ? Quality Recycled Auto Parts
Bumblebee (Eli) is a moderator and trusted member here. He serves as a resource for all of us. You can find positive feedback here from his customers. When I need a battery he will get my business.
Several have used Matt, including myself, to rebuild our batteries with original Honda cells. At this time I haven't heard of anyone going with him to get the new better battery cells. The heat killed my battery this summer so I'm looking at probably using him to get the new cells next spring but this probably had more to do with the fact that I've used him before and that he lives an hour from my house so there are no shipping cost.
If not for the close location I'd probably go with BumbleBee.
I recommend BumbleBee Batteries, but all of the vendors you mentioned should take good care of you

I bought a battery from Adop-A-Part in Denver last June. I ordered it before Bumblebee started advertising. Eric Sumpter was great to work with, and they gave plenty of heads up information on availability, shipping and the entire process.
I could not be more pleased with my battery now. He even offered to replace the connector I broke a tab off of at no charge, but I really didn't need to replace it as I use a tie wrap to hole it together anyway.
They are great people and have plenty of integrity as they do what they say they will.

Sure, If you know what you are doing.
But you still have to get the NEW d Cells from someone, not a "off the shelf" item.
