Add the 125 lbs of engine and the flywheel, clutch, electric motor, etc. I figure 225 pounds would be close. Junkyard engines usually have the fluids drained. Yours might be a little on the unusual side if you got yours with oil in it.
The drivetrain was still in the car and was started for me to see the mileage, that it runs, etc. It was driven a short distance and then the motor was pulled.

It came from a board member and we decided not to drain the oil, since it was recently changed. The oil change sticker was still on the window. Also forgot to blow the rest of the antifreeze out. Nothing leaked luckily.

Should I put it on a scale? That way we would know for sure.

$250 fuel

7 days (6 days driving)

Of coarse once I got there an saw how beautiful new looking the car was, I started drooling for some other parts. I ended up with a exhaust system from the 2nd cat back, spindles, rear view mirror. Wingin73's dad was very generous. If I only had more money.........

Thank you. I can hardly wait to put it in. Although the 238,000 motor that is in there is doing just fine and still gets me great fuel mileage.

Yes, once you test it please post your experiences with the new engine , it will be great to know how the swap affected the available power , fuel efficiency etc.

My insight was already high mileage when I got it and i do not have a basis for comparing performance of a new engine vs 200k+ engine...

The weight of the motor, electric motor, transmission, spark plugs, heater hose, oil and a little bit of antifreeze = 269 lbs. One radiator hose was still on the motor and the clamps if that makes much of a difference. The motor mounts were not included.
