As you've most likely seen here I've went down-size.

Rims: 13" / 5" Wide, 4-100, 43mm Offset - Steel Rims ($171, tax inc. new from Wal-mart) required slight modification at hub center opening
Snow Tires: GoodYear Nordic 155/80/13 ($178 tax inc. new on sale from Cad Tire)

So far I've noticed good driving characteristics, increased road noise
(obviously) and reduced gas mileage (again, obviously).
Thankfully - no snow on the ground yet here, so I'll report back on my original thread about snow driving characteristics.

Has anyone tried the Blizzak 175's yet? I realize due to the grip you will lose MPG but I am more about safety with winter here. We haven't had any snow in Iowa yet but I am afraid after driving the Potenza's on gravel that I would be sliding all over on snow.

I set these up for my Gen 1 as I plan on doing alot of driving in the snow to go snowboarding. Bought four 13" Civic VX wheels, same weight as the stock Insight wheels and four General Altimax Arctic 175x70 R13 snow tires, same weight as the RE92s. Haven't had a chance to use them yet but they are within a few revolutions/mile of the stock Bridgestone Potenza RE92s so the speedometer will be the same. Will probably drop a few mpg but that is to be expected with the more aggressive tread pattern.
