Thats why you should put a few tums in the crank case!!!

Ive only run ow20 in the i2 and at that either mobile 1 or quaker state, which ever I buy on sale and either a honda filter or mobile 1 filter.

I do know it seems about 7500 miles the oil needs replacing as it starts to lower fuel economy and other engine noises start up. A change and mpg goes up and all the strange noises go away.

Honda 0W-20 has a starting TBN that is quite low (5.2). So, it's not really a long drain oil, and I suspect if you tested it at 7000 miles you'd find it is acidic (causing metal damage). This belief that everything Honda makes is "perfection" is ridiculous. Just like every other manufacturer they want to sell cars..... which means they want yours to slowly wearout and die. I even had a Honda dealer tell me that:

ME: My last car lasted 360,000 miles until the head gasket blew.
HIM: "You are the kind of customer we don't like. We want your car to die sooner so you'll buy a new one every five years." - Freeway Honda manager

Most xW-20 oils become very thin as they become diluted with fuel... leaning out to almost xW-10 oil. I've decided to go with the 5w-30 or 0w-30 for extra protection and to last the full 7500 miles.

Plus it is the recommended oil for Europe and Japan (I've been told; I'm trying to verify it). In fact I might just use the same oil by VW TDI uses (Castrol SLX) since it was tested and approved by Volkswagen to pass their very hard test known as VW505.
If your Insight is diluting the oil very much your MPG must be quite low-all indications are that Insights do not waste fuel into the oil(high milagon serveral engines, little blowby)-So 0W20 should be good for 7500 miles.

But Mobil Extended Performance 5W-20 is better overall, because it has more additives to last 15,000 miles (not that I would do that). It's a stronger oil.
And 5W-30 has more thickness in case the insight does develop fuel or antifreeze leakage into the oil.

I do agree that mobile 1 0w20 or quaker state ow20 is better than the Honda brand, at least by looking at color. Granted color isnt a good indicator of oil wear. 2nd the mpg drop off or gain when changed at the same time peroid is less.

Well, I already paid for another round of mobile 1 ow20, but I am in need of a filter. I was going to get a bigger one by frame that has the anti drain valve in the bottom. I got one for my suzuki and kind of like the less noise the first few seconds of start up.

I'm actually experimenting right now with the Mobil 1 Extended performance oil and I have put about 11,000 miles on it since I last changed it. But I also added RSR Ran-up right when I changed my oil and so far everything seems to be great.

My HP went up (dyno verified) and my mileage went up from my normal 55 to 57 MPG (the way I drive) to 58 to 60 MPG with no change in my driving habits or routes on the freeway.

I plan to change my oil right around 14k to 15k and see how everything is going.

The last time I did an extended oil change was with my Amsoil trial, I waited 20k miles before changing it and no problems from what I can see.

RSR Ranup?
I hoep you get a Blackstone or other oil analysis, so we can see how the Mobil Extended drain performs. I'd like to see the results before I pour it into my car.

Dont worry, I just put in my order for the free Blackstone lab kit. I will be sending my oil in with the RSR additive in there after 14k or 15k and see how they analyze it.

Still don't know what RSR is.
Why did you feel the need to add it to an already-amazing oil?
