Default Wheel Restorations

Anyone found a wheel outfit in the U.S. which will restore the wheels to their original condition?

Mine are currently being done by a place called SABS in Houston. I can report after I get them back. They are supposed to machine them down, then put the original kind of clear back on them.

or you can try the diy technique outline by chris22104 at the link below:
What to use to remove Oxidized/ Haziness from wheels??

From the pictures, they look new.

I'm thinking if I have wheels redone, I will have them spray or powdercoat in a bit darker gray. Maybe charcoal. I think the darker contrast would look nice.

I think I remember someone in the UK having them done in a darker color.

I saw that post before! That'd look nice on the blue, red, and citrus cars!

I got a silver and they look "ok" in my eyes, I will post some pics later after I take some. Maybe I'll just paint them flat black next week...

Another option could be to using the "Dip Your Car" rubber spray on. It should last a year or more before needing to be touched up. Also, you can get numerous colors.

I am actually going to do a flat black or olive drab on my red insight sometime in '13. If I do Olive drab I am thinking of doing the wheels in red, to match the new decals I just got for the insight.
