I chose AC Delco because it came-out best: Aftermarket Air Intakes/Filters - Do They Work? - Diesel Place : Chevrolet and GMC Diesel Truck Forums

I downsized my Rockauto order to 6 filters. I didn't realize they would rust over time! And I have a spare one sitting in my amazon cart so the next time I buy a book or videogame, and I need that extra "boost" to get $25 and free shipping, I'll just buy an extra filter.

I have 48 Mobil 1 oil filters.
I hope they don't rust. I should probably replace the cabin filter too, but I'm too cheap. Maybe I'll just let it soak in some water to remove some of the crud.

48 m1 filters that fit the Insight? that's taking BITOG hoarding to another level. You'll never even get through a dozen!

You think my two 90,000 mile insights will die in the next 240,000 miles (48 filters divided across two cars). Perhaps but not likely. They would be at 330k each insight, which is entirely possible. (And if for some reason I don't make it, then I'll just sell the filters to ye.)

The filters arrived. They are pink.
How girly. They are definitely less porous than the K&N cotton filters

Mine arrived too. The filter element feels more like plastic than paper. I almost don't trust it. Made in China.

Who knows. Considering AC Delco is an American brand...

Got a 5% discount code from Rock Auto:

Using Your Discount Code

Enter the code above in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart. If you are using our traditional HTML catalog, please click the "Apply" button to the right of the field. Your discount will automatically appear, subtracted from your parts order total. Orders using discount codes must be placed online. Phone orders are not eligible for discounts.

Please note: We sometimes get calls from people who put the word "discount" in front of their code and do not get the discount. Please enter ONLY the discount code, no other words or numbers. Code must be entered before order is submitted to receive discount.
The discount takes 5% off our already-low prices. There's no limit on order size or the number of orders. Use the code for your next order, and share the code with friends, neighbors, relatives, the guy at the corner garage--anyone you know who works on cars or trucks.

This discount code expires on March 3, 2013; so don't wait!
I know I promised this in some other thread, so I'll post it there too.
