Default Airbag question

I just got a a low millage 05 that was in a low speed crash. I plan on replacing the deployed airbags. Is anything involved other than replacing the air bags, like sensors or controller? Is anything else one time use?

My father is going to get the airbags you ordered out ASAP. You will need to have your airbag controller reprogrammed ($60 on eBay, or find another from a vehicle in which the airbags did not deploy). You will also need to rebuild or replace the seat belts. Pull on each belt if it won't retract, it's locked. The used price is set by the fact you can rebuild either of them for $65. I prefer a good used part but used is worth no more than a rebuilt one. I don't have any of this stuff but Jeff in Cali may. It's all simple just be certain to be careful with the plugs and replug it exactly as it was or the car will know.

You need:

2 airbags (some states require new ones - others don't care)

Note that the interior color is different for 2005-2006 and 2000-2004, so earlier than 2004 may be the wrong color for the passenger bag.

You need the airbag computer (mounts behind the console) - new $600, junkyard (from a non-wreck) $50

You need the steering wheel "clockspring". The wheel airbag destroys it. It's about $40 new.

You need both seatbelts. They have pretensioners that fire if the airbags go off and they cannot be reset. $275 each new, $75 each junkyard from a non-wreck. Make sure they extend and retract - if they are locked, they are from a wreck. Also, the color of the belt changed in 2005.

You probably need a new windshield and rear-view mirror.
