Thought you were an enginer

Anyone can see they would be gifferent floorpan, for a start, one is aluminium bodied, the other steel, meaning different structural considerations.

I was JOKING when I said I drove trains. BTW I didn't just look at the CRZ floorplan. I DROVE the car, and I don't recall any major differences in the CRZ driverside floor from my insight's driverside floor.

The only thing "wrong" with me is that my opinion differs from everyone else. For example I think the CVT and 5-speed insight will show no difference in MPG if the driver routinely goes 70-80 miles an hour, because when you drive that fast, the lean burn is deactivated in both cars.

If I said, "By the way I am mormon and have two wives," they would hate me for that too, because that opinion goes against the Groupthink viewpoint of how things "should" be. The group turns intolerant and refuses to accept people who are different.

BTW I am libertarian. That basically means I am tolerant of everybody regardless of their lifestyle. I don't care what you do or what you believe, and I would never force you to change your opinion (or call you names like "ahole" or "troll" if you disagreed with me).

Default Meanwhile back in the UK.....

..... I put in an order for G1 car mats from Mark's supplier. They arrived quickly, looked good and fitted as they should. Not bad for £33.50. Thank you Mark!

My only query is - what am I supposed to do about the carefully manufactured hole towards the rear of the driver's mat? It looks as though it's meant to match up with a location pin, but I can't see anything on the floor to correspond.

However, as I don't see any scope for the mat trapping the pedals, this doesn't seem a serious problem.

Sounds like your retaining hook is MIA.

I believe the part number is 08P15-S3Y-100R1

This thread has a picture of it if you can't source an OEM one maybe you could make something from a piece of sheet metal?

hook to hold carpet in place

Without the hook your mat will constantly slide forwards and eventually bunch up around the pedals. try and get one if I were you. very easy to fit

To cure the mat from sliding without the hook for connection, stick a piece of velcro (The male part) on the underside of the mat.

"1.50 for 6" at most stores.
The male part is a natural connection to the floor carpet material.
