Default Current State of Battery Replacement options

Hello all,

Please forgive my ignorance on the topic, but I'm a bit behind on the current state of IMA replacement.

I know once-upon-a-time there was hybrid-battery-repair.com, and that blew up with people losing money and not getting their batteries. But for a while there, he was the go-to if you didn't want to go to the dealer.

I also am seeing something about UK battery packs, but I'm in the U.S.

Has anyone filled the empty shoes? My IMA light just came on and, while I know there are a number of potential causes, I see a replacement battery in my near future.

What is your location so someone can point you to the closest one. There are at least 3 that are valid and two that are active and respected members here at ICN.

If I had the resources to replace mine I would use Eli - bumblebee batteries, even though he is West Coast. Great trustworthy guy.

Good Luck.

I agree. Give Eli a call tomorrow (he is on the road today). He is very accommodating and will help you carefully consider your options.

My firm is located on the East Coast and offer the same high quality cells. I have the batteries in stock and can ship within 24hours. The other firms on here that were listed are also quality so whom ever you buy from you will have a quality battery.

One company that wasn't mentioned in this thread is Re-Involt Technologies (www.re-involt.com). They sell almost the kind of battery for the Gen. 1 Honda Insight, but comes with a three year unlimited mile warranty. Plus, they've been in business longer. However, their battery pack is more expensive ($2600) and I'm not sure if the price includes installation. They are in Sanford, NC.

I've been waiting for them to come out with a Lithium battery pack for the Insight, but they keep moving the launch date for this product. Oh well, my original battery is still good, so I guess I could wait until after it comes out.
