When there are more Insights parked outside than Licensced drivers inside, then your a Hoarder!!!
LOL!
It's beginning to sound like I qualify . There are 3.5 in the driveway right now, but one belongs to a friend. One is in Florida now, the other is in North Georgia.
One day at a time gentlemen. That's all we can do. Right Jime?
And Tim, you can ask your significant other to take solace in the fact that now you only need a Citrus and a Blue one to complete the Insight color spectrum. (Break the news about White and Aquamarine Blue later.)
That's right, we can only take it one day at a time and try to do our very best to keep control for that one day. If we can get through another day without buying another Insight, then we are on the road to recovery.
I have discovered a "sobering" strategy to cope. When you realize that you don't have time to drive each car enough to keep the IMA battery in good shape, then, at that sad point, reason can sometimes take hold - sometimes
I may try to cut back to two, but they all look at me with those sad puppy eyes when I have such thoughts.
I don't think of it as hoarding at all, but rather investing an a scarce and diminishing resource
So far I have not had to resort to therapy, but my wife tells me that I'm close. Even now, I have secret longings for just the right car on which I could run a different set of experiments
LOL! You definately sound like some of the "cat ladies" on an episode of "Hoarders". You know, the one who has like 130 cats inside a mobile home? And if I may say so, your condition may be too far gone as you have already began to personify your vehicles. ("Puppy eyes"????) LOL
All this explains the "Hello, my name is XXXX" name tags at the last Mid-Mid Atlantic Insight meet.
All kidding aside, Jime, you are welcome to experiment on my Citrus. Should be picking it up this weekend or the next.

Oh boy. All of mine have names. "Gertrude", "Al", "Betty", "Allison" and "Krystal". It is easier (and more fun) to keep up with which one you are talking about if they have names, rather than just saying "the silver one". At the moment, there are three silver ones in the driveway (one belongs to a friend and should get to return home this weekend).
On a previous comment about the jerrydelrey's definition of an Insight hoarder; we have four running Insights and four licensed drivers. ("Al" is the parts car.) Does that mean I am just on the border line, but maybe not gone too far?

I don't know... that can't be true... i guess when you have to many to fit in the driveway and you start parking them on the grass you might have a problem.
My name is Tim and I'm addicted to buying cheap insights. I've come to realize this when the day before closing on my house i drove an hour and a half each way to pick up an insight that was cheap. But I didn't have a red one yet!
In 10 years i think everyone here will have 5-10 insights. haha

Just got word back from my taller half (she's been letting me come home for 31 years now) and she informed me that I can complete the Insight color spectrum.......... after her new Camaro shows up in the driveway. Sounds like a good plan to me .
I was actually looking for a blue one, but the only ones I found in my price range were really rough.
Tim
I'm getting rid of my blue '01 Insight, if you're interested.

Oh man I am hosed then. What about half Insights, how do those count?
