Default F.A.Q.: Adding Pictures to Your Post

Posting Pictures F.A.Q. Sheet

Moderator Comments: For further information please refer to our Help Section.

------------------------------------------------------------

The question of how to add images to a post has been asked and answered so frequently in the last month, we decided to post a brief tutorial. Please also remember that answers to this and many other forum usage questions can be found in our Help Section, in the post entitled "Registration and Posting F.A.Q."

How to Add an Image to Your Post

1. First, please remember our three rules: only add an image directly in a post using the following method when the image is directly Insight-related; otherwise, post a link to the image instead; all images should not exceed the maximum size of 450x450 pixels (6.25"x6.25").

2. If you have determined your image meets the above criteria, you will need to post your image somewhere on the Internet. This will allow you to bring it into your post, here on the InsightCentral.net Forum. There are many free photo-hosting web sites. Choose one of them and follow the site's instructions to upload your photos.

3. Start writing your new post here on the InsightCentral.net Forum (or click the "edit" button next to a current post to add images to it).

4. When you reach the point in your post where you want to add your image, click once on the "Img" button (above the post writing area).

5. You then need to add the address (URL) of your image. For example, if you uploaded your photo to a web site called example.com, your image's address might be http://www.example.com/community/myphoto.jpg If that were the case, you would type in the entire address (or copy and paste the URL from the site hosting your photo).

6. Once you have typed the photo's address, click the "Img" button once more.

You should be set to go! When you submit your post, the image should appear right in the message. If you experience difficulties, need more help or have any questions, please contact one of the moderators.
