Thanks all, I thought com was for commercial and org was for organisation such as a University or a non profit group. Guess net stands for net profit.
The rotary radio was a mounted on the steering column and had coaxial knobs for volume and tuning with a digital display. The idea was that you would not have to reach across to adjust the radio and possibly have an accident. It was supposed to be futuristic.
