The only problem with the Insight and snow are the underpanels, where snow and slush collect, freeze, and cause the underpanels to come off. If you are driving in snow, check the panels and get the slush out

I actually haven't had any problems with the underbody panels coming off, and I've plowed through some deep snow this winter. The only problems I've noticed with the underbody panels (besides the usual ground clearance issue was that a bunch of snow and stuff seemed to get up in there, or at least something did, and the exhaust was making an awful racket, plus the transmission was behaving rather sub-par until we got some heat and (I presume) the snow and stuff melted out from in there.
