Insight Review - Times Online - Brace yourselves...
For those who don't know him, Jeremy Clarkson is a petrol head, fanatic about cars and he s very popular here in the UK (presents a program called "Top Gear", which I think over there is broadcasted on BBC AMERICA).
2 more things about JC - he hates hybrids and not too keen on Honda models (for old people, or so he says), apart from the Civic Type R and the S2000
Taking this in consideration the link below shows his review on the Insight (Published on the newspaper The Times) and it's not a pretty one - it s actually the worse I ve read.
Just for the sake of the debate (I actually ordered one Insight which i will get next week), I don't agree with him...

For those who don't know him, Jeremy Clarkson is a moron who professes to be witty. He writes drivel. Sadly, like-minded people will probably think he's the Second Coming.
The good news is that you can read his Insight article and recognize that it is laughable – so don't get mad, and don't let it ruin your day.
I actually read the piece the other day, and at first thought it had to be a spoof. No one could seriously review a car that way. Maybe it will raise some blood pressure readings, but I just dismissed it.
With any car there will be people who like it and those who don't. The Insight isn't my type of car, personally. But if someone drives it and likes it better than the alternatives, then I'd recommend that they buy it.
What matters is how much you like the car, not some reviewer. (Even if that reviewer is me.)
That is a good point. Make up your own mind on decisions like this.
In my opinion, a review should contain facts, some observations, and yes, some opinions. But when a review is so way-off-the-charts negative, it only places the writer in a bad light. No car is as bad as that review makes it out to be. So, all credibility is lost!
This guy uses the same tired old complaint of the nickel mining that some tried to use to proove that an Hummer I was more enviroment friendly than any hybrid....
So, using that comment, he should divest himself of any surgical bone implants, stainless flatware, kitchen sinks, insist his surgeon use non-stainless instruments, etc..
FWIW: I dare say there is more nickel present in my refrigerator door than in any NiMH battery........
Maybe we could sic the ASPCA on him for his comment on dogs and meat slicers...;_0
Walt (anyone recall TRUE satire, like the Denbeigh Super Chauvinist?)
He was mentioned on this link above as well, and a few that responded agreed with him 100% but a few like myself also weighed in.
If anyone does not like a car for its design or size, etc, fine, but why do they have to say that it's the worst Honda car ever built when they don't know anything about it or its longevity when it just came out
There will always be mentally challenged individuals that just have to be mean and come onto a forum to mouth off that makes them feel good but what they have actually done is focused onto themselves their immaturity not to mentioned lose of credibility.
I think many have bad mouthed my 09 Civic and Accord as well if I remember. Just have to have children posting on variouses boards for the thrill of it I guess.

I'm inclined in this direction, as well. But I've been noticing lately that many people see Clarkson as the most credible reviewer, because of the entertainment value he provides rather than in spite of it.
There's also a widespread assumption that the more negative a review is, the more honest it is. Up to a point, perhaps.
