I just got my Insight today, and I have to say the seats are very comfortable! Much better than a lot of luxury cars I've had in the past!

Default Great Deals

Just installed the leather steering wheel rap. It was a pain at first, but when I got going it went smoothly. Very nice, and it does feel like it came from the factory.

Coming in the mail is the sun visor shades for the windows, mud flaps, all weather floor mats, and cargo tray. Paid around $5400 for everything off of Ebay. Hope the installations of these go as smoothly. Next will be the bumper guard and then saving up for some fog lights.

I didn't get a cargo cover and I wish I had, but it can be purchased for about $150 later. My LX did come with the all weather (rubber) floor mats, but not a cargo mat, which I'm also considering picking up.

Default just got done

Finished installing the mud flaps, and door visors. Love the look of the mud flaps. The door visors have helped me out a lot with the rainy weather around here. The floor mats are awesome for this weather as well. Nothing I have added to the Insight wasn't worth it to me. Next comes the rear bumper guard, and the side moldings. Maybe some Katzkins as well.

How difficult were the mud flaps to install? Any drilling required?

I just installed the splash guards this past week and there is no drilling involved. Each splash guard mounts with 3 self tapping screws. For all 3 of the front mounting points and 1 of the rear, you need a push pin to punction holes in exterior body work dimples. For the other 2 rear positions (each side): 1) remove an existing screw and re-use its hole and 2) insert a square plastic expander into an existing whole (rear inside).

For me the fronts were easier to install as one cranks the wheels all the way clockwise or counter-clockwise to provide more working room. For the rears, you'll need either a very short stubby or an angled philips screwdriver (or both, which I did). The inside rear screws were the most tedious for me and likely those 2 took as long to screw-in as the other 10 combined.

Default agreed

Aragorn0404 has it right. The front are the easiest to install. The rear are a little pain. All in all it took roughly 30 min. You will need a small stubby crossed screwdriver. Helps out a lot.

I love the window vent shields. I finally got all 4 installed. I leave them about an inch and half open. Nice breeze rather in the parking lot or interstate. 63 bucks online through Earnhardt Honda.
