I could not have said that better myself! Well done, I am in 100% agreement with you.

I've been close to and over 70 a few times on my commute from Springfield MA to Hartford CT, a total of 23 miles. I have a favorable elevation going in to work. On the return sometimes I can break 60, but it is usually high 50s as the hills are against me.

Now my wife, not so good, then again she usually just drives around town with the AC blasting, I have yet to see anything over 50 from her lead foot.

The other day I was driving and her quote:

"Step on it, we're late, we don't have time to save trees."

So folks, after 3 pages of commentary, most helpful and asking questions, it appears that the OP (MiamiTrance) either does not wish to play after dropping the 'review', or indeed was something worse....

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............

The long list of things that you hate (which I think are either made up or greatly exaggerated) should have been immediately evident during a short test drive. Why did you even buy this car?

The OP mentioned that he drives from ft Lauderdale to Coral Springs in one of his posts. I live in Coral Springs, if he is real I challenge him to meet me anywhere in Coral Springs at his earliest convenience to take me for a ride in his Insight II and point out to me all his complaints. We can then take a spin in my perfectly quiet and well grounded I2 and compare afterwards (assuming he really has one).

R U still out there? I dont mean to offend, I just want to see what the hell you are complaining about b/c it sure as f--k isnt the same car I drive!

I am ready to meet up right now if you like? Would love to see those wipers in action!

Careful, the syncopation twixt your 'normal' wipers and the OPs may induce a tsunami

I don't think he's a troll, based on his previous posts, but maybe he leased the same car that CR test drove?

But I like everyone else here also wonders what he was expecting when he was looking at hybrids in the first place. None of them are going to ride super awesome, unless you get the Lexus GS hybrid or HS 250 (I think that's it).

I can tell a difference between my Lexus ES and our I2, but hypermiling in the ES isn't nearly as fun. I can only squeeze 28 mpg. Not bad for a V-6, but I still have more fun with the Insight.
