UCSD Security and Valet Parking like the Insight!!

Thought I would share this with y'all.

Due to medical reasons, I have access to Valet parking at no charge when I go for appointments at UCSD. The valet guy immediately let me know how much he liked the Insight, especially the Sky Blue metallic color, and parked it next to the S class M-B and close to his post. Upon retrieving the car, the Security Officer echoed his like of Honda colors in general, and this blue was his favorite as well!!

Hmmm....Valet guy noted that all though the campus was full of Prius and luxo-barges, mine was the only Insight he had seen...

Shucks, kinda makes it special....

Very cool! It's always neat hearing good reactions from people about the Insight. Especially Clear Sky Blue Metallic

When my family and I went to Disney World this summer, we took our Insight on the Autotrain. When we got to the Grand Floridian, the man who was going to park the car and the bell boy were both asking a lot of questions about it, and seemed genuinely interested in knowing more about the car. They did not mistake it for a Prius (like a lot of people I come across up here), and knew it was an Insight. Our Insight had never generated so much attention before!

Yeah I graduated there last year in June. Never knew they did VALET at ucsd, don't you mean the shuttle? Did you go to thorton hospital?

I lived in la jolla, then moved near governor toward universal city for a bit. Now I'm in LA.

Might have to make a trip there to get the DDM tuning hids though, haha.

All the UCSD hospitals have it, even Hillcrest and Moore's...

I passed through US customs today & the agent was really interested in the Insight. He asked about the mileage & I replied every tank has been 44. He said he owns an 07 Prius that is supposed to get 44 - 47. He was really impressed with the 44 mpg, & said he was probably going to get one. I was surprised he was that impressed with the mileage considering he is a Prius owner.

He spent most the time asking questions about the Insight rather than the border patrol question.
