I knew when I bought my Insight on May 21st that I wouldn't keep the stock wheels...I never liked them being 15s and I didn't like the width of the stock tires. I know...I know...it's part of the whole efficiency thing...I get that...but I never liked 'em. I really can't believe I've held off for so long...but I had to get lots in place and with a different job, lots and lots of travel...oh, and moving back to the coast from Charlotte...well, I had plenty of distractions, haha!
At any rate, with the help of Cobb, I ordered my Tanabe NF210 lowering springs...the drop is approx. 1.5"
I wish the drop was a tad more on the front...but overall I'm happy. I didn't know what to expect as road noise from the Bridgestone tires...or the wheels themselves... I didn't know if I would have rubbing issues or a choppy ride. Good thing to report here is I don't have ANY complaints on road noise, rubbing and/or a choppy ride. I really, really LOVE the "feel" of the Insight on the road. Very solid feeling...guess that extra rubber and being 1.5" lower gives that "feel" to the car. Nothing like my S2K, but much better than stock. I look forward to seeing my MPG...I've been keeping track of my last 5 fillups and I hope to see what my future 5 fillups will look like.
Alright, enough with all these words (that most folks will likely pass over just to see the pics)...

Interesting look...... Think if or when I have a soare 800 bucks I am going with black wheels I mentioned in another thread, same size. I would then get some snow tires for the other set of rims.
Some reason you see to have more ground clearance. As if I have a problem putting a cheap 2 ton floor jack under the car. Its a tight fit.

Yeah, give it 2 weeks or a thousand miles to settle.
I got the nfs, I avoided the dfs as I hear the ride is really harsh as the spring rate is increased 20% or so so the car wont bottom out.
As is, there is like one driveway I scrape as its impossible to take at an angle. No big deal, I have done that with my previous cars and a truck I use to scrape the trailer hitch when exiting a driveway.
