Default 2009 honda fit sport rims?

hey guys well i was thinking about getting rims on my insight since they are steelys... =-( but i was thinking of getting the 2009 honda fit sport rims and was wondering wat u guys think? the tire size is 185/55/16

im also thinking of getting hfps, they weigh about the same but the tires will be wider 205/45/16

and i will also be lowering the car with nf210s or df210s not sure yet. and the color of the car is silver with tint, if anyone of that matters

AND TO PEOPLE WHO HAVENT GOT TINT YET. GO GET IT. IT LOOKS SO MUCH SEXIER WITH TINT

Tint is awesome!!

I recently had the Tanabe NF210s installed...they are pretty good...wish it had a tinge lower in the front...but they drive well.

Here's a pic.

Ive heard a lot of the fit parts will fit. I just wonder are you guys having handling issues that larger wheels and tires will fit or is it a look thing?

I think the mugen wheel at my local dealer looks great, but 500+ a wheel is more than I am willing to spend. In my experience anything larger or smaller than oem will cause fuel economy to go down, but lighter weight will cause it to go up. One reason I mentioned the enkre(SP?) in anotehr post as they are the lightest 15 inch at tirerack that will fit and looking at the black option.

Yeah, I too have though about spacing the rear wheels out to even it with the edge of the car. This does cause more stress on the rear bearings and my car has this sound already like a bearing somewhere is worn.

I sent an email to HandAAccessories.com asking about the Fit wheels and got a reply 4+ days later with, "We don't know and besides, the wheels on the Insight are designed for best economy."

Um...thanks. Dicks.

I guess the best way is to use tire rack and see what wheels they recommend for the fit then see if its the same as insight. I wish I knew off hand or could check, but my old computer is slow and this website takes FOREVER to load a page.

If you check ecomodder, they recommend moondisks for max fuel economy, but since the brakes are weak, Id want some ventlation. I doubt a wheel the same size or lighter will cause a negative effect on fuel economy.

The bolt pattern is the same 4-100, they are 17s, so you would need tires too. The offset is about 8mm different and half an inch back spacing. Looks vs plausable, however I hate wheels with an even number of spokes. What about 7 or 5? They do look better than oem.

theyre actually 16s and apparently weigh like 17.4 or so pounds and with tires thats 36 pounds...so its 4 pounds heavier per wheel =-( i wonder if it will have that big of an impact... this is for the fit rims. and the tire size is like 185/55/16.

The 09 sport fit according to tire rack uses 17s. Even if its 16s, you cant use your stock tires.

I found online 1lb to the wheel is like adding 8 inside the car. I have 100 extra lbs at least for the speaker upgrade. Wonder if its removing? Wheel weight effects braking too.
