If the EX w/ NAV came with real-time traffic and a backup camera, I'd say get it. But it doesn't, therefore I can't recommend it, especially after seeing numerous double-DIN GPS radios such as the Pioneer AVIC and the Alpine IVA series that will work just nicely in this car.
I am not a fan of anything OEM. Honda's agenda is to mass produce and cut costs to be competitive. It's not their agenda to keep all of the audiophiles (like me) happy.
If you don't think you'd ever want to touch your factory radio and re-wire a new one, then buy the one with the NAV.
Crutchfield sells the wiring harness for the Insight for about $20 delivered. You could easily put a new one in and keep the factory speakers. The radio kit from Metra is about $30 from eBay (delivered.)
