Default insight seat

Anyone else find the driver seat really uncomfortable? I don't like the lower support

Yes I agree with the seat, but the lower lumbar support is fine with me, it's the flexed upper part of the seat that causes problems. The spine has a natural lumbar curve, but does not have a forward flexed thoracic curve.

I've been using a lumbar roll in my mid back for the last 3 days & it fixed the problem immediately. Also can use a rolled up sweatshirt to first see if that works.

Read my reply here.
upper back support....

I actually find the seats comfortable... better than my previous cars (a Saab 9-3, a Saturn S1, and a Chrysler Sebring).

I did a near-straight 16 hour drive in the Insight a few months ago and was fine. What, in particular, do you dislike or find uncomfortable about the seat?

I found that leaning the seat back further than I normally would makes both the lumbar support and headrests much more comfortable.

I would fall under the "uncomfortable" side. It was one of my first impression of the car after the test drive before purchasing. I came from a Mazda3 GT, with much firmer and support seats. But I think got used to the I2 seats and now I find them ok. Not great, by far, but ok.

Even with the seat back more - the head rest pushes your head forward - very uncomfortable - would love to replace if anyone knows where to get new ones.

Ahhh... see, for me, I always activate the lumbar support (if I have the option) and leave it there. The Insight has no such option but I like it the way it is...

Too bad people come in all shapes and sizes, otherwise, we'd be able to come up with one seat we could all agree upon!
