Default What was your last ride before the I2?

I'm wrapping up 9 years on a WRX wagon, 183k miles. The I2 has 1000 miles today. I might keep the "wrecks" for mountain ski trips but may sell it too, will throw an ad out on cl and see how it does.

Some reviewers rip on the I2 for having a harsh ride but compared to the Sube it's really pretty nice. I bought a Prius in 2008 and hate the bad handling--girlfriend drives that one.

Our Insight replaced a 1999 Honda Civic LX sedan. The Civic had 97k trouble free miles on it but we were just ready for a new car. Sold it on craigslist to a father buying it for his college bound daughter. I'm sure it is serving her well.

Our other vehicle is a 2003 CR-V LX. it has 74k miles on it. We'll probably keep it for a long time and run it into the ground.

Me, I had an:
97 supercharged tacoma owned outright 18mpg
09 scion xb monthly payments too high 30mpg

Traded both for the insight. I miss the power and room of both, but love going 500 miles on 9 gallons of gas at the fill up.

Traded in a 2003 Honda Accord with 77,000 miles on it for the I2. I was just ready for a new car and wanted something with even better mpg than the Accord. I'm a huge fan of Honda products and my wife drives an Acura RL - great ride on that one, lots of luxury, but pretty crappy mileage.

Traded in my Saturn Sky Redline. Wanted something more practical, with good mileage. Still, I'll miss it!

Our I2 replaced a 2003 Acura 3.2 TL. It was totaled in an accident and we were in need of another car for my mom to drive.

How did buying a brand new $20k+ car lower your monthly payments from the xB? I can't imagine a 12 year old pick up getting you much of a trade and you still owed on the xB.
