You do not need to leave the keys in a hybrid to change the oil.

The Honda oil is not synthetic, from my understanding.

Somebody can prove me wrong, but I think natural/normal oil cannot reach 0w20. It has to be synthetic.

I knew I had read somewhere that they had come up with 0W from non-synthetics. I got it from this page, which I admit could be wrong, but I don't have any reason to doubt it. It seems to jive with other sources I've read over the years.

All About Motor Oil

Go down to group II and group III oils and it mentions it. I suppose it could still be argued that they are at least part-synthetic, as synthetic doesn't necessarily mean a fully man-made replacement for dino oil or its by-products.

It doesn't necessarily need to be a synthetic to be a 0w20 but it's likely going to need to be mostly a hydrocracked Group III oil to meet the 0w20 viscosity. Group III oils are better than Group II and Group II+ oils to the point where they can withstand an extended oil drain interval without oxidizing or shearing out. There is a heavy amount of discussion about this on BITOG and I'm convinced that you really don't even need a synthetic and that a good Group III based oil is plenty good. Oil has improved quite a bit over time and the benefits of using synthetic over a conventional oil without extending the drain interval at the same time are very narrow in my humble opinion.
