Thanks for the information and advice everyone. I was going through the manual again (probably should have done that first ) and it backs up what you guys are suggesting for oil changes:

Quote:
If the message ‘‘SERVICE DUE NOW’’ does not appear more than 12 months after the display is reset, change the engine oil every year.
I'm at exactly 50% now on the "oil life" display, so I'm guessing I'll probably be around ~30% or so by the time a year rolls around.

Thanks for the reminder about the spare tire pressure...I've actually never checked that...oops

Yes, at some point and time everyone should read the manual cover to cover.

Hey, check out changing your tire just incase or having to be towed out of the ditch.

You got a big screw eye bolt thing under the rear trunk panel. That screws in the cover on the drivers side of thefront bumper after you pop off that cover with the slot on it.

The jack is actually behind the back of the rear seat on the passengers side. You got to pop that little door open and finagle it out. The foam insert in the back does not need to be removed unless you want to view the hybrid battery.

Default oil life reset display

Can anyone tell me how to reset the oil life display---just had oil changed and it still reads the old percent.

From page 342 of the manual:

1.) Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
2.) If the engine oil life is not displayed, press the SEL/RESET
button on the steering wheel repeatedly.
3.) Press and hold the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel for
more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset
mode will be shown on the multiinformation display.
4.) Select ‘‘RESET’’ by pressing the INFObutton, then press
the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The
maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life
will reset to ‘‘100.’’ If you want to cancel the oil life reset mode,
select ‘‘CANCEL.’’
