Default Visor mirrors.

I find it somewhat annoying that they couldn't bother to put vanity mirrors on the visors of the LX model. Anyone know if a good quality clip on style I could get?

I find it somewhat annoying even when you have the vanity mirrors that there isn't even a light. My Honda's from the 80's even have lights next to the mirror, I'm sort of like - what's the point? Heh. Oh well? No idea about a clip on solution, though.

Mine is a LX as well and I did get complaints of this from my occasional passengers. I'm going to replace it with a OEM visor with mirror soon.

Yeah, I miss these as well as my reading lights which I just had to push to turn on in the upper mid area that I had on my Hyundai. I will say that Hyundai makes great interiors...

If you think about it, Honda's goal was to make this car as cheap as humanly possible in order to make a hybrid that is affordable for almost all people. I think they succeeded.

The EX has map lights.

I agree, Honda made it as cheap as possible. Even the map lights are cheap compared to the ones found in my 95 Odyssey.

My other car I drive is an 89 Accord and it's like a Mercedes in comparison to the Insight in terms of interior quality.

The seats are growing on me though.

I got my 2005 Elantra for about $11,500 They included all the bells and whistles on the interior... yes ,the body was crap... the dings and scratches were ridiculous when I traded it, and yes the wear items were crap... it needed new struts at 51,750, but the interior was lovely the entire time

It's things like that that make people Want a car... they could really give the prius a run for their money, IMO, if they focused just a bit more on that. Once the Korean cars get the other stuff down, they might just leave the Japanese minimalist types in the dust...

I seriously considered a 2011 Elantra but the experience I had with the metal, and the wear parts on the 2005 made me shy away...

With the LX, you can always DIY add the map light and the visors yourself.. I already added the map light, not sure when will I add the visors w/ mirrors...

edit: here's the link to DIY Map Light for LX
Is it possible to put a domelight/homelink on a LX?

i have an ex.. one thing i hate is the sun visors are so small that they dont block the sun when you turn them towards the side windows.. in fact they dont even go over there good.. my old 93 chevy has better sunvisors and they have a pocket to store stuff and they extend.. thats prob the biggest pet peeve that i have.. they dont extend worth a crap.. my 04 jeep extends all the way to the back of the door lol.. oh well i live with it for 50mpg

My second payment will be made today. I'm happy with most everything about the car except all the rattles. I've fixed a few in the rear and I'm working through the ones in the dash and center comsole area. I really expected more from Honda, Japanese cars, and a 2010 model year. I may be a little O.C.D about noises and rattles, but I think those clever Japanese could have done a lot better with this car.
