Since it has been cold out I've only had the windows cracked down a bit driving around. And it does this with the window down a couple inches.
I'm not sure if it goes away with the windows all the way down, etc.
But I get the impression that the windows are simply tossed into the slot they reside in. Basically what I am suggesting is that if the door was roughly twice as tall, with the glass being the same size as it is now, you would literally be able to just yank it out and drop it back in with zero effort.
There should at least be some sort of felt on the track, sort of like what goes on the front of a dryer drum, to give it some substance of friction yet not damage anything so that it cannot bounce around wildly (exception to moon craters.)
The felt idea is a workable solution I figure since there is apparently clearance to accommodate some.
Speculation, granted.
