Don't believe so unless Honda painted the assembly black, because they're painted black.

The honda weighs in at about 2700lbs while the fit is about 2500. Alumnium drums wouldn't do much to reduce the weight either. If you want a sportier ride I would keep the fit and maybe get a cold air intake for it.

yah.. i couldnt believe that either when i went to pickup my i2.. my brother pointed that out.. stating his car from the 90s had disc all the way around. my 2004 jeep has disc all the way around.. i dont understand how any car today would have drums but oh well.. no biggie.. should of been even an upgrade or something

We also pay considerably less in the US for our Insights than the ROW. It personally doesn't bother me that the car has drum brakes, it manages to still stop well and doesn't fade on hills or anything so I don't see what all the fascination is with having rear discs.

remeber this car was not designed or intended to be used at autocross events, does the Prius have rear disc? Because that’s the car we should be comparing it to.

Disc brakes in the rear aren't necessary. If anything, the pads wear out faster than cars with drum brakes in the rear. The only thing that sucks about drum brakes is that they are a pain to work on. Fortunately shoes seldom have to be changed.

i had a lady in a prius park next to me the other day and it was a brand new one.. it had drums.. i know that brake technology is much more advanced then it was 5-10yrs ago just like everything else.. i just dunno why so much difference between the same model car in different countries.. not only by honda of course.. but every manufacturer.. but no matter.. i checked my brakes last time they had the tires off the front when i was getting front end alignment and they still looked good with over 28k mileage and i live in the mtns.. so they are working good
