I am in the market for a new Honda insight. I am kinda wondering between EX and LX. I don't care about the alloy wheels and the paddle shifters, so no questions about that.
What about the minor things on EX:
- Heated Side Mirrors with Integrated Turn Indicators
- Driver- and Passenger-Side Seatback Pockets
- Driver's and Front Passenger's Vanity Mirrors
- Map Lights
- 160-Watt AM/FM/CD Audio System with MP3/Windows Media®[3] Audio (WMA) Playback Capability and 6 Speakers
- Illuminated Steering Wheel-Mounted Audio Controls
They are pretty good to have, but not sure if the difference of $1500 is worth this? What do the people on the forum think?
That said, I cannot believe that the vanity mirrors and the seatback pockets do not exist for LX!! I believe that should be standard!! Can I go to walmart etc to pick those things up? How much would they cost?
You should be asking yourself if it's worth it to you. Don't let us decide for you.
I went for an EX because I believed for a little bit more money I got a lot more car. Plus, I just had to get the turn signals in the mirrors, the alloys, the map lights, 6 speakers, all of which I already have in my Odyssey EX (except the turn signals,) and didn't want to "settle" for less in a new ride - I really would had not enjoyed my I2 as much.
It's all up to you.

nah. i bought an LX for that reason. the difference wasnt worth it.
to put an aftermarket bluetooth, stereo with XM, GPS, blind spot mirrors, cruise etc cost me around $400 tops.
If you use an ipod or iphone for music/podcasts then you can control it through the stereo controls with the EX, it also charges while plugged in. It was worth it to me for that reason alone.
Sorry, i should have mentioned it's 2011 model, not 2010
So the 2011 LX already has a USB interface, Cruise control and the stability control, which I really wanted.
The only annoying thing is the lack of vanity mirrors and the backseat pockets. But I am guessing I should easily find after market parts for those ...
