Default Broke glove box part. Should I bother to replace?

While changing my cabin air filter today, the bottom latch of the mechanism that slows the drop of the glove box broke. The glove box works fine except for the fact that now when I open it, it drops slightly more abruptly than before. Should i try to replace it or just leave it like it is?

I don't think so because I broke it. I mean it shouldn't have been that fragile but it is.

Default Update

I called the dealership today and had them order the part. It turned out to be only around 12-13 bucks.
