I guess I fall in the camp where it doesn't bother me that much to hit the button every time I crank up. But the OP has a point -- it is silly to have to do it!

Default small thing

Oddly, I have been mildly annoyed by that. Seems to me it should restart where I left it, like everything else. But it takes only one touch of a convenient button.

There is an old axiom about indicators and gages which pertains to loss of power (IE: the vehicle has been shut down)... it is: AC lies, and DC dies.... could it, perchance, be a DC powered gage and it doesn't have a memory of sorts???? I must be 100 years older than most of you.... if someone is complaining about this, I'm surprised he isn't complaining that the car doesn't know he's entered it, and might actually want to start the motor without any sort of input
