Default Anyone else startled by the bright orange service notice?

The notice for my first service came on yesterday while I was driving. There was a "bong" and the display turned bright orange and said "service engine soon". My first thought was that I had some kind of major problem and needed to pull over. Then I realized that it was just the first service notice.

They certainly designed it to get your attention!

Forget the Service Engine Soon warning - I'm still startled every time the Low Fuel warning chimes on!

Yes Honda definitely designed the Insight II warning system to get your attention...

I turn it off by adding 3 gallons of gas.

If it's a low fuel warning then you do what Cobb suggested and put some gas in it. If it's a service light then get it serviced.
