Default Ah man, 2nd gen Insight little too small for me

It's been quite a while since I sat in a 2nd gen Insight, but I popped in one at Honda today. Darn. Although headroom is there, overall driver's seat fit would not work for me. I'm 6'2" tall , long legs, so legroom and seat bottom fit has to be great. It's just a little too small and I would hate it after a while.

Hopefully someday they will increase the size of the whole car. I've no problem with driving full power split hybrids, but Prius is still a tad wanky for my taste. I know Honda could do a classier job than Toyota, but it's going to take some years to get there. Patience needed. But hey, I get to enjoy a new Accord Coupe for now.

6'4", 210 here. Driver's seat is actually really good for me if I pump the seat down and back. The front passenger seat, however, is a total pain in the knees! I can't cope with sitting shotgun in my 2010 at all with how they designed the dash on that side.

6' flat here - the car actually feels big to me. Much bigger than my old '01 Civic.

I find it more comfortable to have the seat raised as high as it can go and rolled back just enough for my feet to be touching the pedals at a comfortable angle. It feels better on the circulation that way.

Seems reasonably big in the front, but in the back, there is not much headroom.

If I were in the market for a new car now, I'd probably not get an Insight, or any top tier Japanese car for that matter. The tsnuami has really messed up prices on Hondas and Toyotas like crazy!

I was afraid that would happen...that's why I ended up buying mine a few months earlier than planned.

It seems like dealerships don't keep many Insights in stock...when I was calling around to find the best deal each dealership usually had no more than 3 or 4 available.
The dealership I bought mine at only had the one that I bought in stock...it seemed like they were trying to get rid of it as if it had the plague or something!

You must of sat in the passengers seat. The drivers seat has a height adjustment and if you lower it, a 400lb person that is 6,2 can easily fit behind the wheel.
