Just picked up my 2011 LX

I just picked up my 2011 Honda Insight LX. It's blue and I added fog lights, front and rear underbody effects. Got it with 9 miles and it now has 31! To early for a gad mileage report

I love the feel of the car, it's quietness and how smooth it rides. The user feedback (as you all know) is awesome, the shifting colors, the indicators of what being powered and charged etc is all very cool... I can't wait to start earning achievements.

So, now i'm off to find a Bluetooth, auto-dimming, home-link equipped, maybe a backup camera with license plate frame camera - rearview mirror to install. - that will be quite an action packed rear-view mirror huh? If you know of one, please let me know.

I picked mine up Thursday. I see in NY anyway they are now offering .09% financing on the Insight. I bought an 2011 LX - 19990.
So far, only good things to report.

Mine was 2011 LX $20,650 in CT I added the front and rear spoiler $485 ea installed and the fog lights which were around $500 installed.

The included destination but not sales tax and registration. After all that it was almost $23k and I got the .09% financing for 60 months. i planned to put more cash down but with that rate why bother...

So far thrilled... Still getting use to it turning off when your stopped at a light...

First drive into work today - 57 miles mostly highway - I am thrilled to report 52.2 mpg (using the Insights MPG gauge)! This is still my first tank of gas, so the engine is not yet broken in. Also, I have not been an "efficient" driver by nature - so I am really happy. I hope the ride home goes the same - I doubt all 57 miles were down hill (I mean, I was going North so it's uphill right?

AC On (Auto-70 degrees)
73 MPH cruise control (although I had to turn it off/on a lot due to traffic)
Simply tried to keep my color Green

Ok, I had the car for 3 months now -- and I love it!!! Why did I not do this sooner!!!

I spend $45 per week on gas v.s. $150 per week!!!
I am averaging 45.6 mpg -- 51mpg to work and 41mpg on the way home

Driving style: Eco mode on (for me I get 2 mpg better with it on) AC on almost everyday, cruise control set at 73mph-75mph 57 miles each way to work. Driving style wise, I don't do anything special - I JUST DRIVE and get this gas milage...

I did try hypermiling for a week and I avaeraged 48.7mpg -- for me the 10 extra minutes it takes me to get to work and 10 extra to get home is not worth the 3mpg savings.

Anyway, I thought I would give people an update...

**Only complaint...Wish you could have the USB cable plugged-in to charge only - So I can use my iPhone GPS and the radio at the same time or watch my video podcasts while my iPhone is charging instead of having to use the AUX jack and a separate charger... OR/AND, I wish the radio did not take over the screen of the iPhone while it is in USB mode....again video podcasts -- YEAH, I know it's completely unsafe - but I have been doing it for about 5-6 years now without incident (knock on wood)...
